According to the federal Fair
it is illegal to consider race, color, religion, national
origin, sex, disability or family status in rental, sales, lending
or homeowner’s insurance decisions. Under the Minnesota Human
Rights Law, it is also illegal to discriminate based on one’s
creed, sexual or affectional orientation, marital status and receipt
of public assistance.
