Thompson Heights Dedicated

The Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA) held an open house and dedication for Thompson Heights in South St. Paul in early December 2011.

Thompson Heights is the CDA's third senior housing community in South St. Paul and 24th overall in the Dakota County. The 60 unit building is completely occupied.

Construction Progressing on New CDA Developments

The Dakota County CDA currently has three developments under construction.

A second phase of 26 townhomes is under construction at Twin Ponds Townhomes in Farmington. The units will be opening in spring 2012. Applications for the townhomes are available at the CDA's office.

Two senior buildings will be opening in 2012 including Vermillion River Crossing in Farmington and Valley Ridge in Burnsville. To request an application for the Senior Housing Program call 651-675-4440.

Vermillion River Crossing will have 66 units and will open in summer 2012. The building is located south of County Road 50 on Duschane Parkway.

Valley Ridge will be a 140 unit senior living community located in Burnsville on County Road 5 and Burnsville Parkway. The building will have 80 independent living, 40 assisted living and 20 memory care apartments. The project is a shared vision of the Dakota County CDA and Presbyterian Homes & Services.
