The Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA) Board of Commissioners approved over $1 million in Redevelopment Incentive Grants to six Dakota County cities this spring. The Redevelopment Incentive Grant Program was established in 2006 to support and assist Dakota County cities with redevelopment goals. To be considered, each city submitted an application containing specific criteria. The following cities will receive funding from this year's Redevelopment Incentive Grant:
- Apple Valley
- Burnsville
- Eagan
- Hastings
- Rosemount
- West Saint Paul
Construction is well underway and on schedule in Eagan on the CDA's newest Family Townhome Development. A summer 2013 completion is anticipated and multiple families have already committed to units.
Save the date for the 2013 Senior Showcase on Thursday, September 26. The annual Senior Showcase is your opportunity to view affordable senior housing options in Dakota County and learn more about senior services and programs. Five of the Dakota County CDA's senior housing developments will be open for the afternoon from 1 - 4 p.m. CDA staff will be on-hand to provide guided tours of the buildings and apartments. The following CDA senior housing developments will be open for tours:
- Cameo Place, Rosemount
- Haskell Court, West Saint Paul
- Main Street Manor, Lakeville
- Mississippi Terrace, Hastings (pictured below)
- Vermillion River Crossing, Farmington
