Family Townhome Program

The Family Townhome Program is designed for moderate-income families with children under the age of 18 years. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements prior to becoming a resident of the program. This includes meeting program income guidelines, providing good landlord and credit references and passing a criminal history check.

Applications for the Family Townhome Program must be completed at the CDA's office located at 1228 Town Centre Drive, Eagan between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. To accommodate those who are unable to apply during these hours, the CDA is open the third Wednesday of each month until 7 p.m.

Rents (as of March 1, 2008)
One-bedroom townhome - $550
Two-bedroom townhome - $600-$620
Three-bedroom townhome - $650-$670

Income Limits (as of March 1, 2008)
Preference is given to families making between the minimum and preference income limits.  

Applicants must also meet the following minimum income requirements:
1 bedroom applicants: $14,664
2 bedroom applicants: $16,488
3 bedroom applicants: $18,120

Locations
To date, the CDA has constructed 15 family townhome developments (455 units) located throughout Dakota County and  currently has another development, Carbury Hills Townhomes, under construction in Rosemount. Future developments are planned for Farmington and Lakeville.
