Family Townhome Program

The Family Townhome Program is designed for moderate-income families with children under the age of 18 years. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements prior to becoming a resident of the program. This includes meeting program income guidelines, providing good landlord and credit references and passing a criminal history check.

Applications for the Family Townhome Program must be completed at the CDA's office located at 1228 Town Centre Drive, Eagan between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. To accommodate those who are unable to apply during these hours, the CDA is open the third Wednesday of each month until 7 p.m.

Rents (as of March 2009)
One-bedroom townhome - $555
Two-bedroom townhome - $605-$625
Three-bedroom townhome - $655-$675

Income Limits (as of March 2009)
Preference is given to families making between the minimum and preference income limits.  

Applicants must also meet the following minimum income requirements:
1 bedroom applicants: $14,856
2 bedroom applicants: $16,704
3 bedroom applicants: $18,408

Locations
To date, the CDA has constructed 16 family townhome developments (487 units) located throughout Dakota County and  currently has another development, Twin Ponds Townhomes, under construction in Farmington. Future developments are planned for Lakeville and Apple Valley.
