After a posting closes, or there are a sufficient number of applications for a continuous posting, the hiring managers will rate the candidates based on the related education and experience indicated in the application materials. These are then scored on a 100-point scale and any Veteran’s Preference Points are added. Additional consideration cannot be given to candidates who call to discuss their qualifications. Therefore, it is very important that submitted application materials include all relevant experience.
The hiring manager will select candidates to be interviewed from the top scoring group, who will then be contacted for an interview and to complete any other testing as needed for the position.
When a candidate has been selected for a position, they will first be notified by phone, which will be followed up by a written conditional offer and a background check release form.
Once the candidate has accepted the offer and it’s confirmed that they will be starting, all other candidates will receive notification either via email or regular mail (as selected on their application).
