Valley Ridge Named Business Journal's
Best New Senior Housing Development

The Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal has named Valley Ridge, the CDA's 140 unit senior housing development under construction in Burnsville, as Best Senior Housing Development in their annual Best in Real Estate Awards.

The building will open this fall and provide 140 units of housing including 80 units of independent living, 40 units of assisted living and 20 memory care units. This redevelopment project involved clearing the site of a shopping center to make way for the new housing. The CDA is partnering with Presbyterian Homes on the project. Home for Sale - West St. Paul

The Dakota County CDA has a home for sale in West St. Paul. It was acquired and substantially rehabilitated through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.

Foreclosure Information Session - May 24

The Dakota County CDA will be hosting a free foreclosure information session on Thursday, May 24 from 6-7 p.m. at the CDA’s office located at 1228 Town Centre Drive in Eagan.

The session will include general information about the foreclosure process and possible loss mitigation options presented by certified housing counselors. The presentation will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Individual appointments can be scheduled following the event, or a housing counselor will be in contact with homeowners within two business days.

New Senior & Workforce Housing Opening in Farmington

A second phase of 26 townhomes is under construction at Twin Ponds Townhomes in Farmington. The units will be opening in spring 2012. Applications for the townhomes are available at the CDA's office.

The CDA's first senior housing community in Farmington, Vermillion River Crossing, will open this summer. There will be 66 independent living apartments at the building along with other amenities such as a community room with kitchen, underground parking garage and fitness room.
